| Accompany with the rapid development of economic and expansion of nowadays’city, the resulting traffic congestion comes more and more severe, the pressure of city traffic is increasing gradually. In order to alleviate the city traffic pressure, urban public transit priority development strategy is put forward and adopted by many cities in China. Many big cities take rail transit as a favor because of its high speed, large capacity, relatively closed system, quality of running on time, and it does not occupy the road resources. In city’s rail transit planning, construction and operation service optimization, full consideration should be given to the passenger source, and city rail transit station attracting area is one of the crucial questions. This paper firstly analyses the concept of rail transit station attracting area. Then summary was given to these influencing factors. It is including pedestrian’s individual characteristics, station and area characteristics, and some other factors. According to the factor system, carry out the traffic survey, collecting relevant data, and finally statistical analysis is conducted.Cluster Analysis is used to embody the station and area characteristics, select relevant station and area characteristics as cluster variables. Then, three factors for clustering are extracted by the use of Factor Analysis. Finally16stations of metro line1in Chengdu city are divided into five clusters.Pick one station from each cluster as a typical station which can reflect Characteristics of the cluster to discuss walking attracting area. Distance decay equation is used to estimate the radius’s length of walking attracting area of each cluster of transit station. Multi-Regression Exponential Models is also used to explain how these influencing factors affect the walking attracting area.Select single line network as the research object, base on the accessibility theory, considering from the perspective of travelers, choosing generalized travel time as the description of accessibility. Take the minimum Generalized travel time as the constrain to establish attractive area models for different feeder methods (bus, bicycle and car). Finally this paper takes Chengdu metro linel as a case study to analyze and calculate the stations’ bus attracting area in order to get to the Tianfu Square station. And all these stations’ attracting areas are shown in a map which is generated by Transcad. |
