The staggered-axis contact gear transmission is a special case of the space-mismatched gear transmission.Its main feature is that the gear tooth meshing is line contact.Compared with the point contact of the general tooth surface,the method of tooth surface meshing for line contact has the advantages of smooth transmission,large bearing capacity of tooth surface and high transmission efficiency.The paper is mainly based on the characteristics of the staggered-axis contact gear transmission,and studies its application in gear finishing and transmission of medium and small transmission ratios.Compared with the traditional machine tools,the new machine tool has reduced the axial feed movement of the work piece,the grinding area of the grinding wheel and the work piece is large,and the honing process is completed once,which significantly improves the efficiency and accuracy of the gear processing;Second,design a multi-head double-lead wire contact biasing worm gearing pair to optimize the worm tooth profile angle and improve the worm drive efficiency.The practical application of the above two kinds of staggered-axis contact gear transmission has theoretical and practical significance for the popularization and application of new methods and new technologies in gear machining and worm transmission.Firstly,the basic principle of the staggered-axis contact gear transmission is expounded.Based on this principle,a new type of precision gear honing machine honing drive principle and a multi-head double lead wire contact offset worm drive principle are proposed.Including the description of tooth surface meshing conditions,anti-interference conditions,calculation of basic geometric parameters and so on.Secondly,determine the overall design plan of the new precision gear honing machine and calculate the detailed parameters of the worm wheel and the machined gear.Design the spindle drive system of the machine tool,the main components and the connection method between the parts.The modal dynamics analysis is performed on the main parts and the machine tool to calculate the deformation,stress,and resonance frequency.The worm wheel machining method was put forward,and the main parts were processed and manufactured.Thirdly,a multi-head double-guide wire contact offset worm transmission method is proposed,and the calculation formulas for the basic parameters of the worm drive transmission,the worm geometry parameters,the worm gear geometry parameters,and the installation parameters are derived.For parameters such as large tooth angle and small theoretical tooth height,the parameters of the transmission secondary parameters are summarized,and the optimization method of the tooth angle and the calculation method of the meshing efficiency are given.Finally,adjusting the initial state of the worm wheel installation,according to the feed method of honing processing,honing simulation experiment of the new precision gear honing machine,and analyze the experimental data to calculate the honing gear precision.Using the 3D printing technology,the transmission device of the multi-head double-lead wire contact offset worm drive pair was processed to verify that the drive pair can achieve the correct meshing of the inner meshing tooth surface and the outer meshing tooth surface,with smooth transmission and accurate transmission ratio.
