Brake is an important component of the train,which braking performance can directly affect the driving safety of the train.Recently,as to the speed of the train increasing in our country,brake disk surface accumulate not only largely but heat distribution non-uniformly lead to hot spot during braking.Those can heavily affect braking performance.However,brake disk is one of the key components of the brake,so consider performance of ventilating heat dissipation is very important.Reinforcing plate is an important influence factor of influencing brake disk surface heat distribution.Therefore,research on reinforcing plate has the important meaning to raise the train braking performance.In this paper,aiming at heat distribution non-uniformly led to hot spot on brake disk surface,ventilated brake disc were analyzed.Reinforcing plates were built by consider follow factors,included array ways,shapes,dimensions and refinement ways in brake disks.Emergency braking condition considered and computational fluid dynamics used,numerical simulation of heat dissipation characteristics of ventilated brake disc was studied.Finally,different factors lead to what effect on ventilated brake disc were analyzed.The main research work and conclusions as follow:Firstly,using Pro/E built the model of ventilated brake disc whose reinforcing plates structure had different array methods,analyzed the array ways of reinforcing plates what influence on heat dissipation characteristics,obtained the distribution of brake disk surface temperature field,velocity field within ventilation duct,the distribution of convection heat transfer coefficient and heat flow,obtained array way of reinforcing plates with better heat dissipation.Secondly,built the model of ventilated brake disc whose reinforcing plates had different structures,analyzed the structure of reinforcing plates what influence on heat dissipation characteristics,studied the relationship between structure and heat dissipation characteristics,obtained the structure of reinforcing plates in brake disk which had better heat dissipation characteristics.Thirdly,built the model of ventilated brake disc whose reinforcing plates had different dimensions,analyzed the structure dimension parameter of reinforcing plates what influence on heat dissipation characteristics,explored the dimension parameter what influence on hot spot distribution of the brake disk surface,obtained the dimension parameter of reinforcing plates in brake disk which had better heat dissipation characteristics,and provides research methods and technical for the structure design of brake disk.Finally,built the model of ventilated brake disc whose reinforcing plates had different methods of thinning,analyzed the methods structure of thinning of reinforcing plates what influence on heat dissipation characteristics,studied the result of reinforcing plate thinning from the distribution of brake disk surface temperature field,velocity field within ventilation duct,the distribution of convection heat transfer coefficient and heat flow,explored the relationship between structure thinning of reinforcing plates and ventilated area,obtained the method structure of thinning of reinforcing plates in brake disk which had better heat dissipation characteristics,and provides guiding significance for structure optimization of ventilated brake disk.
