With the development of society and economy,the process of urbanization and mobilization is accelerating,the function of the city is becoming more and more complete,the development of private transportation is rapider and rapider,and the demand of travel in the city is increasing.As the main body of urban transportation,private transportation and public transportation carrying most of the traffic demand,but the problems caused by the uneven development of the two also gradually revealed.Experts and scholars from various countries are exploring how to deal with the development of private transportation and public transportation.In our country,in the "bus priority" circumstance,most of the city actively advocates the priority development of public traffic,but the private transportation is indispensable.At the same time of developing public transport,we should pay more attention to the combinative development of the car and public transportation.In this study,we first introduce the development modes of private transport and public transport in domestic and international urban.According to the actual situation of our country,the author analyzes the problems existing in private transport and public transport development at the present stage city.The root cause of the problem is the imbalance between traffic supply and demand.Then,put forward the corresponding solving countermeasures.Due to urban traffic congestion is mainly reflected in the morning-evening rush hours,so this paper choose Dalian as the research object,through to the core area of Dalian city peak time residents travel mode choice of RP and SP survey.Setting up a private transport and public transport mode selection Nested-Logit model which based on the survey data and disaggregate theory,then analyzed the different periods of urban residents' travel demand.At the same time,using traffic supply-demand theory and traditional road traffic supply-demand model.In this paper,the urban private and public transport supply situation as the research object,modified the supply model of private and public transport.Then,combined with the supply model and disaggregate analysis to build the development relationship model of private and public transport.Coming up with the reasonable development scale of private and public transport,the dynamic balance between trip demand and traffic supply should be satisfied synchronously.Finally,taking Dalian city as an example to analysis the model,then put forward the corresponding improvement measures and suggestions.Results show that the development of private and public transport in Dalian is unreasonable at present.The problem is mainly reflected in the imbalance of public transport supply and demand.In the future,in order to achieve the collaborative development of private and public transport,the government not only should to increase the supply of transport infrastructure,but also the traffic demand management should be implemented simultaneously.
