With the development of reform and opening up and economic globalization,Inland river ports as the bridge of domestic and foreign trade has played a more and more important role,The development of the port led economic growth in the economic hinterland,in return,the rapid development of economic hinterland also accelerated the development and transformation of the port.Researching inland port’s economic hinterland distribution help port to expand its hinterland,improve operational efficiency,and improve profitability,this requires a good inland port hinterland economy analysis method,which needs to calculate the distribution of port hinterland very convenient.In this thesis,we consider the freight demand imbalance of distribution of the radiation area of inland port and the routes’ s heterogeneity on inland port,then we simulate the choice behavior of the shipper,and establish nested logit choice probability model,thus we obtain the distribution of inland port’s economic hinterland.First of all,its background of the Yangtze river port and the Yangtze river economic belt,systematically analyse and collect statistics of the main river ports on the Yangtze river and the shipping routes of liner shipping company.Moreover,we collect the data of highway network aroundthe Yangtze river economy belt,which is useful when we analyse inland port economic hinterland after establishing Nested Logit choice probability model.The paper finally take example of part of the Yangtze river ports including shanghai port,nanjing port,wuhu port,jiujiang port,wuhan port,yichang port and chongqing port and analyses the cargo demand in 13 provinces and cities around Yangtze river,especially,we analyzed the port of wuhan economic hinterland distribution in numerical example,On this basis,we present some suggestions to the development of economic hinterland of wuhan port.
