The construction of Synchronous Crushed Stone Seal is low difficulty and cost-effective,so it is widely used.but it is easy to appear debris and local debonding because of the lack of adhesive performance.the highway construction has a great demand for aggregate,and the steel slag has good performance,but it is not widely used,so the idea of using steel slag as aggregate is proposed.In order to explore the possibility that the steel slag is used to Synchronous chip seal layer,this paper has carried out the following research work through the indoor experiment:(1)By comparing the properties of steel slag and other crushed stone aggregate,it is feasible to use steel slag as the aggregate of Synchronous chip seal layer.Steel slag has a lower economic cost.Use steel slag can protect the environment.The physical properties of steel slag are better than other aggregate,except the steel slag has stronger water absorption.Immersion can reduce the water absorption of steel slag without affecting the physical properties of steel slag.In the adhesion,the performance of steel slag is more stronger than other aggregates.(2)The orthogonal experiment method based on degumming rate and friction coefficientwas used to optimize the mix proportion of synchronous chip seal layer calculated by the mcleod method.It is suggested that the mixing ratio is::the aggregate consumption is 11kg/m2,and the asphalt consumption is 1.3kg/m2.(3)The results of water seepage test,pendulum friction coefficient test,tectonic depth test,splitting strength test and water swelling test show that the road performance of gravel seal is also affected by the change of steel slag content.The results of water seepage test,pendulum friction coefficient test,tectonic depth test,splitting strength test and water swelling test show that the road performance of gravel seal is also affected by the change of steel slag content The analysis of the experimental results shows that:With the increase of the steel slag,the seepage coefficient of the gravel seal layer decrease,the tectonic depth of the gravel seal layer increases,the pendulum friction coefficient increases,the splitting strength increase,but the volume expansion rate also increases.However,when the content of steel slag is more than about 30%,the seepage coefficient of the gravel seal layer rises instead,the pendulum friction coefficient and the splitting strength did not increases signigicantly.Based on the above test results,it is suggested that the blending ratio of steel slag is 30%.At the last,the construction technology and quality control of synchronous sealing technology are analyzed and summarized,and the economic analysis of the synchronous crushed stone seal with steel slag is carried out.This paper provides technical guidance and reference for the construction of seal coat.compare with the traditional Synchronous Crushed Stone Seal,the Synchronous Crushed Stone Seal with the steel slag save 26%of the cost.It reduces the exploitation of some natural rock,making the steel slag become a treasure.
