The Application Of The Concept Of "Sponge City" In Landscape Design

With the economic development of China,the urbanization has made headway in all respects since the beginning of the new century.When eliminating the differences between urban and rural areas,the urbanization process has also caused the city expansion and the population surge.Ecological construction has become an important part of the development of modern cities.And the development philosophy of sponge cities has become a new concept in the contemporary urban construction and environmental designs.Wuhu is a core city in the economic development of Anhui Province.Besides,it is a fairly significant open coastal city,which also accepts the industrial transfer of the east.With the economic development and the constant expansion of urbanization,new requirements for public environmental design and ecological environmental protection have been put forward.This paper takes the landscape design of the Ouyang Lake Wetland Park as a case study,expounds the concrete application of the "sponge city" concept in the landscape design,and carries out the experimental research on the "sponge city" concept by virtue of this case,in order to obtain the corresponding theoretical and practical research results and make the development concept of "sponge city" be experimentally applied in this case study.
