| In ancient times,Ji’an once called Lu Ling and Jizhou.Ji’an is located in the middle of Jiangxi Province,The west is the Luoxiao Mountains,Middle reaches of Ganjiang River,rich in resources.Ancient gardens in Ji’an as an important branch of Jiangxi garden system,however,there is relatively little research on it at home and abroad at present.In order to perfect the garden system of Jiangxi Province,to carry forward the geographical culture of Ji’an.This article through the literature collection induction,the field investigation and the synthesis analysis method,Combing the development of ancient gardens in Ji’an,to clarify the garden types,typical representatives and garden characteristics of Ji’an in different times.Through the identification and collection of relevant ancient books and local documents,combined with the results of field research.Ancient gardens in Ji’an can be divided into six periods:1、Before the Han Dynasty: for the budding period,the Han Dynasty appeared the early high platform and the Taoist temple.Its function is to pray for the smooth weather and to pay attention to the emperors’ kindness.2、Wei Jin Southern and Northern dynasties: Initial period,after Buddhism was introduced into Ji’an,Buddhism and Taoist culture dominated Ji’an.In this period,temple gardens were the main types of gardens.3、Sui Tang and five dynasties: Transition period,the rebellion launched by An Lushan and Shi Siming led to the emigration from the north to the south,and objectively promoted the development of Ji’an.At the same time,Confucianism was introduced into Ji’an,and the culture of Ji’an Academy began to sprout.During this period,there were temple gardens and public gardens.4、Song Dynasty: Heyday,the Song and Jin dynasties War made Ji’an become a place of cultural concentration.The style of Confucianism in Ji’an is booming,and the type of garden has been greatly improved under the blend of many kinds of cultures.The new types of gardens in this period include private gardens,college gardens,official gardens,ancestral halls,and so on.5、Yuan and Ming dynasties: A period of maturity,in Ming Dynasty,Ji’an ’s gardening activities reached the second climax.Under the social environment with overloaded population,Ji’an produced a new garden form-Guild Garden.6、Qing Dynasty: Late mature stage,the art of gardening has reached a period of great achievement,On the basis of the rich garden types,many ancient villages with garden characteristics have developed into scale and produced other garden forms.Under the influence of deep LuLing culture,Ji’an ancient gardens formed 8 kinds of landscape types.They are college gardens,private gardens,temple gardens,public gardens,palace gardens,ancestral temple gardens,hall gardens and other gardens.Among them,the temple gardens appeared earlier and played an important role in the development of the ancient gardens of Ji’an.The college gardens and private gardens were prominent during the song period,which represented the arrival of the heyday of the ancient gardens of Ji’an.The characteristics of the ancient gardens of Ji’an are mainly reflected in three aspects,namely,the cultivation of the garden,the creative landscape and the artistic conception of the scene.The design ideas of Ji’an ancient gardens are dominated by LuLing culture,and LuLing culture is a pluralistic culture condensed in the long history culture of Ji’an prefecture,is the fusion of the academy culture,the hermit culture,Buddhism culture,Taoism culture and Daoist culture,Feng-Shui culture and so on,which prompt the different styles of Ji’an ancient gardens.In gardening technique,the complex geographical environment of Ji’an provides a wide variety of choices for ancient garden landscape location.Some gardens have its special consideration on the plant configuration and planting,while some is unique on the architectural space layout.In garden artistic conception,most gardens are accompanied by activities of literati,such as Jishui east garden,Yongfeng shan’guang building,Longquan diying academy,etc.,which reflects the mutual blend and complement of poetry and paintings with gardens. |
