With the increasing number of vehicles,the problem of urban road traffic congestion is becoming more and more serious.On the one hand,alleviating traffic congestion can be solved by increasing road capacity and reducing traffic demand;on the other hand,the rational use of existing traffic facilities can also improve road traffic conditions.The traditional traffic control strategy develops from single intersection control to trunk line control.At present,the overall control of the road network and the study of the traffic control strategy from the global point of view have become the main research direction for the traffic managers and traffic researchers.Therefore,this article starts from the road network level,and optimizes the urban road network.The main contents of this paper are as follows:(1)Research on the control method of road network perimeter.Firstly,the process of perimeter control is given,and the variation rule of vehicle number in road network is defined.Secondly,a feedback control model is proposed,that is,the relationship between the number of vehicles in the road network and the perimeter input traffic flow.Finally,the controller of the feedback control model is designed,and the proportional-integral control method is adopted in this paper.(2)Research on the control method of multi-reservoir perimeter flow.Firstly,according to the principle of reservoir division,the intersection with similar traffic flow characteristics is divided into one control reservoir.Secondly,a multi-variables feedback control model is proposed,that is,the relationship between the number of vehicles in a reservoir and its fraction of the flow rate.Finally,by adjusting the perimeter input flow of the adjacent two reservoirs,the vehicles in each reservoir can run smoothly,and finally realize the overall control of the road network.For the control method proposed in this paper,the author uses Paramics(v6.9.1)micro-simulation software to verify the Wangjing district road network in Chaoyang District,Beijing,and gives the calculation process and simulation results,which verifies the validity and accuracy of this method.
