Economic globalization has become an inevitable trend with the continuous development of the world economy.While marine transportation is the pillar of economic globalization.An important factor in ensuring the safety of marine transportation is the sea route.How to design a safe,economical and reliable sea route is of great significance to the operation and navigation of ships.This problem has a crucial importance especially for long-term routes,where voyage time reaches a several days and the distance is thousands of kilometers.This article starts from the perspectives of safety of navigation,reduction of sailing time,fuel saving,and fixed time arrival.In this paper,a new type of intelligent and effective ship weather route design method is researched and designed from the perspectives of navigation safety,reduction of sailing time,fuel saving and fixed time arrival.First,the mathematical model of the ship's meteorological route design problem is studied.In this paper,the finite element analysis method is used to discretize the shipping routes,and four adjustable variables for determining a route are presented.Various static and dynamic constraints in the navigation process are analyzed.Time variable is added to the two-dimensional space and a three-dimensional navigation area model is presented.Three basic indicators for evaluating the routes are introduced based on this model,and three different optimization objective functions are designed according to these indicators.Next,the characteristics of the ship speed loss at sea are studied.The effects of wind,waves and ocean currents on ship speed are analyzed separately.The method for determining the speed loss of ships in wind and waves is studied.A variety of methods for calculating the speed loss of ships are given,and simulated and compared.At the same time,the voluntary deceleration of the ship to ensure navigation safety in storm is studied,and the calculation method of the critical speed of the ship in the specific storm level was given.Then,an intelligent route design optimization algorithm based on real-coded genetic algorithm is presented based on the established model.The algorithm provides three different navigation area establishment methods,which can adapt to different requirements.In this algorithm,one search direction in the navigation area is continuous,which can improve the accuracy of the algorithm.At the same time,a hybrid mutation operation is given by combining uniform mutations and Gaussian mutations,which not only keeps the diversity of the population from falling into a local optimal solution,but also can make the convergence rate not too slow.Multi-population techniques and an elite retention strategy are employed to increase population diversity and accelerate convergence rates to improve the performance of the algorithm.Finally,a simulation system for meteorological route planning is designed.The MATLAB is used to design a graphical interface simulation system,and the MATLAB Coder is employed to convert some modules of the algorithm into MEX form for the main program to call from the perspective of visual effects and algorithm execution efficiency in this paper.Four different simulation experiments are designed to test the performance of the algorithm based on the several optimization objectives proposed in this paper.Compared with the great circle route and the rhumb line,the obtained results are superior to those two routes,indicating that the proposed algorithm has good effectiveness and reliability.
