Graphite electrodes have become the main conductive material in metal smelting due to their excellent electrical conductivity,corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance.However,because of the long production cycle,high cost,and uneven internal density distribution of graphite electrodes,it is very difficult to detect the internal defect of them.At present,many problems have been researched at home and abroad in view of the difficulty in quality detection of graphite electrodes.However,related detection technologies have not yet been popularized,and traditional detection methods have disadvantages such as high missed detection rate and low efficiency.In this dissertation,the detection device based on the acoustic wave detection method is proposed aiming at the defect detection of the graphite electrode.The main research contents and results are as follows.(1)The internal defect detection method of graphite electrode has been studied and the hardware system of internal defect detection device has been designed.By studying the material and structural characteristics of graphite electrodes and comparing the advantages and disadvantages of non-destructive testing techniques,the research scheme based on acoustic wave detection has been determined.By studying the propagation characteristics of acoustic signals in graphite electrodes,the multi-channel sound signal detection circuit with anti-jamming capability,the high-speed,high-precision,multi-channel synchronous acquisition circuit and the acoustic signal triggering device with automatic control function have been designed and developed.(2)The upper computer control software has been developed.The communication mode between the upper computer and the lower computer,the data transmission,storage format and the control logic of the upper computer have been designed.The control function,display function and signal processing function of the upper computer have been realized.(3)Tests and experiments have been conducted on the defect detection device of the graphite electrode.The performance of the device has been tested,and the stability and feasibility of the device have been verified in the laboratory environment and field environment.The results show that the hardware parameters and performance indicators of the device meet the working requirements of the field environment and can automatically trigger and collect the acoustic signal of the graphite electrode.By comparing and analyzing the collected sound signals,the internal defect of the graphite electrode can be judged according to its frequency characteristics.Thereby we verify the feasibility of the device,achieve the intended research purpose,and provide research foundation and reference for the application of the graphite electrode flaw detection technology.
