Distribution systems are an important part of the electric power system. These systems supply power to small and middle end-users from a transformer substation.Natural phenomena, like falling or growing of tree branches, storms, winds, lightning strokes etc.,are among the most important factors for the interruption of power supply in distribution grids. When there are two or more faults in the lines of distribution occurs it is known as Complex Faults. The analysis of Power Systems under fault condition represents one of the most important and complex task in Power Engineering. The studies and detection of these faults is necessary to ensure that the reliability and stability of the power system do not suffer a decrement as a result of a critical event such a fault. This paper focuses in the analysis of these complex faults with the help of symmetrical components method and also some methods have been used to restore the power supply;also there is a simulation of complex faults in non-effectively grounded system by the help of ATP software.
