With the increasing penetration of wind power generation,the fault current characteristics of wind generators and topologies of the wind farm collection system challenge the traditional relay protection.Affected by the finite of the control section,the current characteristics may affect the protection of the wind farm.And the traditional protection based on single-end information may not meet the requirements of wind farm protection performance.Aiming at the above issues,the wind farm collector system model based on Jilin Wind Farm is built as the object,and the new substation protection of wind farm collector system is studied.Finally the relevant hardware debugging platform is built to analyze the adaptability of the new protection.The performance of the traditional protection action of the collector system is analyzed,and the boundary of the incorrect protection action is given.The wind power collector system model is built on the RTDS simulation platform to study the protection configuration of the wind farm collector bus and the feeder.Emphasis is placed on the analysis of the protection adaptability of the protection system under different fault locations and different types of faults,and the possibility of refusal of the wind farm bus protection under certain conditions and the protection of the wind farm collector feeder under certain conditions are found.The conclusions are verified by the use of RTDS simulation platform.The new principle of substation protection based on multi-interval electrical information is proposed.The basic functions and structural characteristics of the substation protection are analyzed.The redundancy of the protection and utilization information of the substation domain is used to improve the protection performance characteristics.The application of substation protection principle for the collector system is proposed.The coordination is improved by adding start-up links and delay links for substation protection and the conclusions are verified by using RTDS simulation platform.The prototype for substation protection which verifies the correctness of the principle is developed.The data acquisition,electrical information processing and fault process are realized by the protection prototype.Based on the real-time characteristics of RTDS simulation platform,a complete hardware closed loop test platform is built,and the effectiveness of the site protection algorithm is verified by online test,which proves that it has certain practical engineering application value.
