With the development of science and technology,the Electric Power Steering system(Electric Power Steering,hereinafter referred to as EPS)has gradually become the protagonist of automobile Steering system.Electric power steering system is light weight,small volume,energy conservation,environmental protection and convenient installation and maintenance,at the same time it also can improve the performance of auto control so as to improve the driving safety and comfort of car.At present abroad have developed power control mode,return-to-center control modes and damping control mode that EPS system under the action of three kinds of control mode,and the domestic study of EPS system is still in its primary stage,so in this paper,the analysis and study of EPS system is very necessary.This article first tells the story of the development of EPS system,and selects the steering shaft power type EPS system as the research object is analyzed the characteristics,structure and working principle of EPS system,then this article is the permanent magnet brushless dc motor as the EPS system of power,and the boost motor mathematical modeling analysis,and then using MATLAB/Simulink software of permanent magnet brushless dc motor drive performance simulation analysis,to verify its application feasibility in the steering system.Then force analysis in this paper,the EPS system,and on this basis to build the mathematical model of EPS system at the same time in order to better reflect the effects of to other subsystem of vehicle steering system,this paper also constructed the corresponding two degrees of freedom vehicle model and tyre resistance model.This paper designs the application of fuzzy control and PID control algorithm of power control strategy,using PID control algorithm return-to-center control strategy and application of the four quadrants damping control strategy of control algorithm.Then through the MATLAB/Simulink software,respectively set up power control mode,return-to-center control mode,the damping control model of model diagram,and a study on the simulation and analysis of three kinds of control mode.The design is verified by the simulation results not only the applicability of the three kinds of control mode,also indirectly verified the applicability and effectiveness of each control strategy control algorithm.In the hardware design,this paper focus on EPS motor drive control system for design,and describes in detail under the bipolar reversible PWM control method for power,correction and damping control.In software design,this paper designs the EPS system control mode selection of software programs.
