With the improvement of running speed of electric locomotive, the pantograph arc phenomenon becomes more and more serious,it has becomes the important factors that affect the speed of locomotive. The pantograph arc will radiate high frequency electromagnetic noise into the surrounding environment, and then cause electromagnetic interference to the other communication equipment along the railway and control signals of locomotive, threaten electric locomotive running safety seriously. Therefore,it is significance to study the arc and electromagnetic noise radiated from the pantograph-catenary offline. In this paper, the electrified railway system as the researched object, and researched electromagnetic noise generated by pantograph arc.Aiming at the characteristics of pantograph arc, designed the simulative experiment platform of pantograph arc electromagnetic noise, and proceed sliding electrical contact experiment by using self-made experiment machine.Analyzing the electromagnetic noise by using spectrum analyzer and ES-SCAN software, researched the relationships among the amplitude-frequency characteristics of the electric field noise radiated from pantograph arc and loop current, contact pressure, sliding speed. The amplitude-frequency characteristics of the electromagnetic noise under different sliding speed conditions were fitted by using inverted exponential curves and reverse power curves respectively, the sliding speeds corresponding to the minimum electromagnetic noise amplitude were obtained. Finally, analyzed the amplitude-frequency of trains dispatching system around 450MHz.The results show that the amplitude of electric field noise increases and interference becomes intensive with the increase of current;the amplitude of electric field noise firstly decreases and then increases with the increase of contact pressure, the interference firstly becomes sparse and then becomes intensive;the amplitude of electric field noise increases and interference becomes intensive with the increase of sliding speed.
