Highway line design must meet the requirements of vehicle driving characteristics.The linear design of highway line should pay attention to the reasonable combination of horizontal plane and vertical plane,follow the principle of continuity,balance and coordination of linear design,so as to ensure the safety of vehicle driving.Therefore,linear design index selection and linear optimization are the key to determine the quality of highway design.However,due to the topography,geology,climate,environment,tourism and water source protection,local areas of mountain roads sometimes have to adopt lower linear design indexes.On the basis of the design of secondary highway G234,this paper evaluates the highway linear form by using the operating speed analysis method,and analyzes and optimizes the road sections which |?v85| ? 20 km/hor |?Iv > 15 km/?h?m?,to guide and revise the traffic safety facilities design.The research results are as follows: 1)Comprehensively considering and analyzing the terrain and geological conditions along the G234 highway,as well as the environmental protection of the Yangquan Lake water source area,adjoining tourist scenic spots and mountainous areas,we conducted a scheme comparison of partial road section using the design methods,such as mountain-adjacent tunnels,road widening,natural line development,turn back curve,ridgelines,watershed tunnels,bypassing urbanization,along rivers and rivers,and along-stream high and low line,to determine a reasonable mountain road alignment.2)According to the requirements of geological conditions and route selection,the reasonable location of the bridge location was determined through comparison and selection,and the location of mountain-adjacent tunnels and watershed tunnels were also demonstrated,in order to realize the purpose of making full use of viaducts and river crossing bridges for highway linear design and optimization.3)According to the setting conditions of long steep downhill and truck escape ramp of highway,this study analyzes the operating speed data of G234 highway.And in the light of the analysis conclusion,we design the Dazhushan truck escape ramp on the basis of the original design,and study the form and technical index of the truck escape ramp.4)In view of the alignment design of G234 secondary highway,this study uses the operating speed analysis method,takes into account the factors of town urbanization,accommodation crossing density,roadside clearance dimensions and interference,analyses the road sections of |?v85| ? 20 /km/hor |?Iv > 15 km/?h?m?,and proposes alignment modification and optimization suggestions or sets up traffic safety facilities.5)According to analysis of G234 highway speed data and the characteristics of mountainous highway,we set the traffic signs of up and down steep,steep detours,detours and continuous curved road,supplemented by deceleration marking and convex mirror,to safeguard the mountainous area highway operation safety.
