In recent years,with the country's vigorous development of prefabricated buildings,steel structures have been widely promoted and used because of their natural assembly advantages.Moreover,the good mechanical properties of steel structures are not only widely used in steel structure houses,but also promote the development of steel structures such as exhibition halls and sports centers.Besides,the steel structure can be used to bear large public buildings,including those large-span,high-height,heavy-weight ones.The large-scale use of steel structures will inevitably drive the reform and development of related processing technologies.This paper takes the steel structure processing technology as the research object,integrates information technology such as BIM technology,develops an information management platform for steel structure processing technology and studies steel material layout and the management of residual material and processing craft.In this paper,the author first briefly introduces the steel structure process,and then design the counterforce for the test of bearing capacity in steel structure engineering,which is regarded as the beginning of this paper.Then,this paper studies the optimization theory of steel material layout using the minimum envelope rectangle method to optimize the irregular graphics parts to improve the optimization efficiency for the platform,and then based on the improved rules of the nesting rules,combined with the genetic algorithm to achieve rectangular layout optimization.According to the relevant theoretical basis,the platform is designed and developed and efforts are made to apply the improved genetic algorithm to the platform layout optimization module achieving the residual material "real-name system" through the residual material coding,which then can manage the remaining material in an informatized manner,and the visual simulation of the steel structure processing process is also achieved through the visualization function of IBM.It plays the guiding role for the craft of the steel structure processing factory,finally realizes the development of the steel structure processing technology platform,serving as the “leader” for the information management of the steel structure processing plant.The process of platform development in this paper is carried out under the requirements of the national promotion of building informatization.It has certain significance in the guidance of the layout optimization,residual material management,and process visualization of the steel structure processing plant and is beneficial to Chinese steel structure industry.The development of the industry is in line with the requirements of sustainable development in China.
