With the exploration and development of offshore oil and gas in the world gradually moving to the deeper sea,traditional mooring positioning methods cannot meet the needs of current offshore operations.Since the dynamic positioning system has widely applied to the marine drilling platforms because of its no restriction of the water depth,semi-submersible drilling platforms become the main equipments for deep sea development.The core of DP is control system including the controllers and the measurement system,its performance directly affects the reliability,accuracy and economy of the platform positioning ability.Therefore,it is important to design a DP control system that satisfies the requirements.This dissertation is based on a BT semi-submersible drilling and workover platform designed and built by a shipbuilding enterprise in Dalian,and researched the main technologies in the application design of DP control system,to ensure that it possesses high reliability and safety in actual operation,and technical performance meets the requirements.Firstly with the close integration of actual project,the dissertation researched the requirements of rules and regulation,analyzed the technical specifications,and completed the overall design and equipment configuration selection.The layout of main equipment and cable routing for different groups is rationally distributed.Secondly,the redundancy analysis of the main components verified the reliability of the entire control system with the application of reliability theory.Through failure mode and effects analysis(FMEA)of the platform DP control system,it proceeded to validate stability in any individual cabin with fire or immersion,or any native component fault,and take actions according to the risk level to ensure that the control system has stable and reliable working capacity.At last the analysis of the platform DP capabilities is finished by using Matlab to establish and simulate the thrusters power distribution.Through the semi-submerisble platform DP control system research and design,it has been achieved that the performance of application project to completely satisfy the requirements of the sea condition and operators,provides the technical guarantee for successful completion of the construction of the semi-submersible platforms.The research content and results of this paper has certain guiding significance and reference value for the design and construction of similar offshore projects.
