Study On Passive Adaptive Building Strategies In Kunming

Kunming,Yunnan is located in southwest China,whose climate characteristics are distinct,as the difference of annual temperature is small and the difference of day temperature is large,which make the buildings in there are more suitable to use passive energy conservation strategy to make indoor temperature comfortable than in most places in China.Reducing the use of active air conditioning and lighting can significantly reduce energy consumption and adapt to demands for sustainable development and ecological protection.In this paper,the climate characteristics of Kunming were analyzed by Climate Consortium to find the passive energy conservation strategies suitable for Kunming.Then building cases and their strategies for dealing with climate were studied.Finally,the suitable passive strategy and its use method were analyzed in detail for Kunming.This paper presents a suitable and effective passive energy saving strategy for Kunming.
