With the improvement of living standard,the demand for comfortable and energysaving air conditioning system is increasing rapidly.Capillary radiation air conditioner is a new type of energy saving system,which separately control the air temperature and humidity.The “high temperature” cold water is using for cooling in the system which can reduce the energy consumption of refrigeration unit while keeping a comfortable indoor air status.However,the load calculation method of traditional convective air conditioner is not entirely applicable to radiation air conditioning system.In this paper,the cooling load of capillary radiation air condition system was studied,and the corresponding calculation method was obtained,which can be used in both theoretical research and actual system design.Three middle-floor rooms of an office building in Wuhan was selected as representatives.The rooms and traditional air conditioning system was modeled in EnergyPlus which based on thermal balance method.And the accuracy of these models was validated by results from cooling load coefficient method and harmonic reaction method.Then capillary radiation systems in these rooms were modeled and the corresponding cooling load were calculated and compared with that of traditional air conditioning systems.At last,based on the calculation results and correction factor method,correction factor for capillary radiation systems in three different rooms and their variation range were obtained.Simulation results show that,the deviation of cooling load of traditional air conditioning system calculated by three calculation methods mentioned above is less than 5%,which validated the accuracy of room model and cooling load calculation model of air condition systems in EnergyPlus.The cooling load of capillary radiation air conditioning system calculated by thermal balance method shows that,the peak of cooling load in capillary radiation conditioning system appears 1 hour ahead than that in traditional air conditioning system.And the total cooling load of capillary radiation air conditioning system is 76.80%~84.72% of the traditional systems'.Therefore,a correction factor varying from 0.75 to 0.85 is introduced to simplify the load calculation process in capillary radiation condition system,based on the cooling load coefficient method.In addition,the fact that the cooling load of capillary radiation air condition system is 76.80%~84.72% of the traditional systems',with a discount of 15.28%~23.20%,which validates its energy-saving effect.
