In recent years,the wide use of information technology and automation technology in-vehicle information service system,makes secondary tasks' operation more and more complicated.Common driving secondary tasks usually are divided into visual-manual tasks,cognitive tasks,audio tasks.In the driving duration,the secondary tasks include playing music,route navigation,radio FM,making calls and so on.These are all visual-manual tasks,and becoming one of the vital factors which can affect traffic safety.The aim of this paper is to study the quantitative relationship between visual-manual secondary task unit and driving performance indicators,and to reveal the law that visual-manual distraction impacts on driving performance,which can offer basis for safety assess.This paper has established the model in the relationship between visual-manual distraction and driving performance indicators firstly.Then combining the literature,the typical distraction tasks and driving performance indicators were selected,the paper built a virtual experimental environment,and has designed some kinds of driving secondary task influence experiments.The experimental data shows that the significant difference exists in distracted driving and normal driving performance indicators(P<0.05),when the driver operates the secondary tasks,the change frequency of vehicle speed and acceleration index decreases,and the amplitude increases;the amplitude of lateral deviation can become greater than the level during the normal driving;the steering wheel speed index increases with the difficulty of secondary tasks' operation increases.With the increase of distraction time,It can be found,by studying driving distraction time and driving performance indicators with correlation analysis method,that driving distraction time has a strong correlation with lateral deviation and longitudinal velocity.The statistical method has been used to quantitatively study the relationship between driving distraction time and the two former variable,the model indicates the law that the primary task performance will decline,while the distraction time become longer and longer,the amplitude of lateral deviation can become greater,also the increasing speed is going to faster and faster;the longitudinal velocity variation of the vehicle is going to increase.In this thesis,the GOMS and KLM distraction time prediction models have been improved,touch screen and slide screen operation unit has been added,and the paper reestablished the visual-manual distraction time prediction model.With the measurement and data of the experiment,distraction time prediction model based on operation unit can be required,this is the very improved KLM-GOMS model.Finally the quantitative relationship between secondary task operation unit and driving performance indicator scan be obtained.The quantitative relationship between secondary task operation unit and driving performance indicators in this paper,can be applied into safety assessment of vehicle interactive interface during the phase of product design.What's more,it can be of great practical significance in enhancing the efficiency of product research and promoting the use of in-vehicle information technology in automobile field.
