As one of the pillar industries of the national economy, the construction industry has an important connection with the rapid progress of urbanization and the continu ed expansion of urban construction scale. As a complex system, the construction industry is affected by many factors. At the same time, the research on the impact of the construction industry focuses on different aspects. This study selected Thailand's construction industry as a research object, and conducted research and analysis on its construction companies, construction projects, and related factors affecting output value.Thailand is one of the important countries in ASEAN,and with the proposal of the “ Belt and Road” initiative in China,so on the one hand, understanding and researching the development of Thailand ' s construction industry(including construction companies and construction projects)helps to expand the research of the construction data of different countries by comparing. On the other hand,It is conducive to the "going out" of Chinese construction companies and the development of international business, which has certain theoretical and practical significance.First,we obtained and dissected 10 years survey data of construction companies from the National Bureau of Statistics of Thailand.According to the information published every five years, the data was compared and analyzed. It was found that Thai construction companies are mostly sm all-scale enterprises which are organized as individuals sole proprietorships and its architectural categories are residence buildings;Meanwhile, the Bangkok City District(the capital of Thailand)has the highest number of participants in construction co mpanies, the highest wages for employees, and the largest total output value of construction companies. It can be seen that Thai large-scale construction companies are mainly concentrated in Bangkok's urban areas.Secondly,by collecting and analyzing relev ant data reported by the Thai construction site within ten years,it has been found that the number of projects approved by Thailand for construction permits has gradually decreased in the past ten years. The development is mainly in the northeastern and c entral regions of Thailand, whose main type of construction is residential construction, which shows that Thai construction projects have been extended to areas outside Bangkok's urban areas. Finally,by integrating the production data of Thailand's GDP,co nstruction activity output, the real estate, the data related to construction projects, found that the key factors affecting Thailand's GDP,construction activity value, and real estate value are the total number of projects, architectural building area,an d number of new projects. Then,by using multiple linear regressions to analyze the relationship and extent of the impact,it was found that although the overall number of projects approved by Thailand was decreasing, the scale of the project was gradually expanding and it is tending to build large-scale projects.Through time series analysis,it is found that there is a long-term equilibrium co-integration relationship in the total number of projects, the number of new projects,or the scale of architectur al buildings, and GDP or different activity output values. In this paper, statistical analysis and inference are carried out and based on the available corresponding official data, but the follow-up data can still be collected and tracked in a more in-depth analysis of the development of the Thai construction industry. At the same time, due to the limited access to data, the research on the factors affecting the Thai construction industry can be further improved. This study lays a foundation for further qua ntitative analysis and comparative analysis.
