The safe operation of heavy haul train is a typical complex system which involves various aspects of rolling stock type,main equipment performance,train grouping,line condition and driver operation.With the increasing number of train grouping,the longitudinal impulse of the train and the time of air brake charging and exhausting all increase nonlinearly.Therefore,the adjustment of control strategy is limited and the requirement of maneuvering ability on drivers is extremely high.Practice has proved that the train driver's operation method is the key factor that affects the train's stability.The smooth operation plays a crucial role in ensuring the charge-exhaust time of the long-period ramp brake and reducing the train longitudinal impulse.The traditional methods to cultivate train drivers' ability in maneuvering include the theoretical study,observation learning,mentoring training,onboarding practice and operation data analysis.Train drivers gradually accumulate experience,but the investment of these methods is heavy,and the period is long while the outcome varies from person to person.Shuohuang heavy haul railway smooth operation real-time monitoring and guidance device is a Driver Assistance Systemwith with real-time monitoring?analysis?recording and guidance functions.It can monitor the train driver's operation process in real time,instruct the train drivers to drive the locomotive according to the optimized smooth operation mode,prompt the train operation precautions before the key operation section.By the way,the train driver's operation level can be improved quickly and effectively,and the "modeled" operation can be achieved to ensure safe and efficient heavy-haul train operation.Firstly,this paper clarifies the system function of the device and highlights the importance of developing real-time monitoring and guidance device for the heavy haul trains based on the survey of relevant theories and practical research results both at home and abroad.Secondly,this paper presents the method of drawing a more optimized train operation diagram and prompt card by deep research and analysis of the smooth operation of heavy haul trains.Meanwhile,based on this theory and Automatisierungstechnik,a real-time monitoring and guidance device for smooth operation of heavy haul trains was developed.The overall design scheme was given,the functions of each part were analyzed,and the interrelationships were clarified so as to realize the design of the flow between the various components.Finally,the application situation of the device in Shuohuang Line is introduced to verify whether it meets the requirements of the design scheme.The design scheme of the device is finally determined by continuous improvements,and this paper looks forward to the direction of future research and development.
