In the fields of navigation, nuclear power and chemical industry, there are often numbers of high-pressure pressure vessels in the actual working system. For the safety of the system,it is usually required that the pressure vessel has good integrity and tightness so as to maintain the pressure of the vessel and ensure that the working fluid does not leak to the external environment. In this paper, experimental and theoretical studies have been carried out on various parts of a large cabin and the whole cabin. Then a theoretical model for predicting the leakage rate of the pressure vessel has been put forward, which has an important reference for the pressure vessel safety and design. In this paper, the cause of pressure vessel leakage was analyzed-the gap formed by the rough surface of seal interface. Then ABAQUS finite element analysis software was used to simulate the change of the topography of the contact surface under the force and the contact surface contact deformation. The leakage channel was regarded as a monolayer porous medium. The microscopic leakage channel was connected with the macroscopic leakage rate.According to the theory of porous media, permeability K of the porous media layer was obtained according to the micromorphology.According to Darcy's law,the finally model for the prediction of local component leakage was derived.Secondly, the specific pressure vessel components began to study,a series of leak tests including different rubber gasket structures, materials, working pressure were conducted to draw the leakage results.Experimental results are close to the theoretical predictions both in trend and in magnitude, which verifies the correctness and rationality of the theoretical model. For the sick of actual engineering calculation, the theoretical formula has been simplified. The sealing structure, material properties, working conditions and the contact surface roughness influence on leakage was studied. Finally,a series of leak tests was carried out for the entire large compartment. All the partial components were installed in the whole compartment.Three pressure steps were set for the leak tests. The experimental results were analyzed to get the characteristics of the whole compartment leak.Which was used to get the leakage distribution ration of the local components. It has great reference on the future design of the Containment.
