At present,there is an increasing number of highways being constructed in mountainous areas,in the preliminary period of bridge and tunnel construction in perilous mountainous areas,it is essential to construct access road as a reference for construction planning.Access roads of substandard indicators and low quality will not only delay the expected construction period,but also take a toll in accidents and life risk of site workers.On the opposite,standard access roads holds the key to its promotion of construction progress by providing safe and efficient transport environment for engineering machine,construction materials and earth-rock works.However,the reality that no proper standards for the access roads construction in mountainous areas included in the current highway route design specification leads to randomly layout,substandard technical indicators,high accident rates,etc.In combination with the field investigation and predicted traffic in the future,the thesis takes self-discharging truck moving at the designed speed as the targeted vehicle.On the basis of travel locus and analysis of truck lateral stability and other coefficients,calculate the minimum radius of circular curve and indicators of transition,as well as study the length,widening of horizontal curve and the minimum road intervals.Analyze the force of climbing vehicles,draw velocity-distance diagram and determine the value of vertical indicators through “allowable speed” and “vehicle climbing performance”.Principles of general design are concluded in accordance with access road design and construction,previous experience and cases.The thesis also lists some important things that should be paid attention to when generally designing access roads in different construction sections by analyzing and studying the highway sub-grade,bridge and tunnels.The thesis aims to design a proper series of plane and vertical indicators of access roads in mountainous areas as a reference for the design and construction of access roads and rural roads by analyzing,studying and calculating the indicators of access roads in Baoji city,Shannxi province and Southeast Guizhou Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture.
