With the wide applications of the security and stability control system,the second and third protection lines of the modern power system are constructed,and its protection object is partial or whole power system.As the grid structure and operation characteristic of modern power system are complex,and the security and stability control system that has been put into operation is of various kinds and large scale,any incorrect and refused action of stability control system may destruct the security and stability of power grid.Therefore,the evaluation of control strategy of security and stability control system and the verification of its expected result play an important role to ensure security of power grid.Some defects,such as single function,low transparency,small simulation scale and poor scalability and flexibility,exist in traditional testing technology of stability control device,and it has been incapable of meeting requirements.Carrying out testing in regional security and stability control system by Real-time Digital Simulation is a real,reliable and advanced testing technology in power system.Constructing closed-loop stability control simulation system with RTDS is studied in this paper.Firstly,software and hardware in RTDS are introduced simply and the frame of user-define component for stability control sub-station with RTDS is proposed.Based on CBUILDER part of RSCAD software,RTDS model of stability control sub-station is constructed.Then corresponding program development and testing as well as model perfection are carried out.Replacing the basic functions of traditional stability control sub-station hardware comes true in this model,and the feasibility of this model is verified by a simple simulation case of power system.Secondly,through the deep analysis and research on the mechanism of communication message transmission based on DNP,the solution of communication interface between RTDS and stability control master hardware is proposed.And the designing,development and testing of the corresponding soft are conducted.Real-time data exchange between RTDS and stability control master hardware is realized by this communication interface program.Finally,the closed-loop stability control simulation with RTDS is established by utilizing the model of stability control sub-station and developed program of data communication interface.In this platform,a closed-loop test is made to the hardware device of stability control master station by building RTDS model of a regional power grid and its stability control sub-station.The feasibility of the closed-loop simulation test platform is verified in this test,and the correctness and reliability of the strategies of stability control system in this regional power grid are also verified and evaluated.
