Real Time Digital Simulators(RTDS) have been applied to testing fields of relay-protection equipments for electric power system and control & protection for HVDC system, whose authorities of testing results have been approvaled by electric power trade. Because of the lack of effective dynamic simulation testing tool of electrified railway relay-protection equipments in our country, in order to improve the reliability of electrified railway relay-protection equipments and build the electrified railway trade testing standard of relay-protection equipments, it becomes a new trial in the field of electrified railway relay-protection equipments testing by the way of inbuilding traction power system simulation models on the flat of RTDS which can be used to research the dynamic simulation of electrified railway relay-protection equipments.Aimed at the difference between electric power system AC and DC network and electrified railway network, component model library suitable for electrified railway relay-protection equipments testing is user-defined on the base of which electrified railway network model is constructed applicable for the research of traction power system dynamic simulation which is important to research on new principle of relay-protection, shortend research & development period and improve the synthetical performance of protection equipments.Simulation models of traction power substation simulation system are abstracted so as to define user-defined component models library on the plat of RTDS.models such as traction transformer, over-head contact system, traction supply mode and fault are realised. On the prototype of Beijing-Tianjin Dedicated Passenger Line, introducing the abstraction method of system prototype and parameter defining method of component models. The simulation testing of component models indicates that user-defined component models are accurate enough to be used to traction power system dynamic simulation.On the base of component model library, a dynamic simulation system of All-parallel AT traction power system is constructed. The short-circuit test of the constructed system model indicates that system model constructed by user-defined component models is precise enough to do experiments with functions testing of relay-protection equipments.
