As one of the earliest mechanical transmissions in history,gear transmission has been widely used to transmit motion and power between any two shafts.According to whether the instantaneous transmission ratio is constant in the meshing process,it can be divided into fixed and variable transmission ratio transmission.With the development of technology,there are more and more situations that need variable transmission ratio movement.In addition,there are also occasions where it is necessary to realize a compound transmission.The compound transmission of the curve-face gear is a new type of mechanism proposed on the basis of the cam mechanism and curve-face gear pair.It also has the characteristics of the cam and curve-face gear pair transmission.It can realize the transmission of variable transmission ratio motion and power between the two intersecting shafts,and the conversion from rotation to movement can be realized at the same time.In terms of compound motion,it can be used as an alternative structure to some traditional combination mechanisms,which greatly simplifies mechanism and improves reliability.Therefore,it has broad application prospects in the mechanical field.It is of great theoretical significance and potential engineering application value to carry out the research on the compound transmission of the curve-face gear.The project derives from the national natural science found project "Design theory and experimental study of intersecting axial variable transmission ratio compound transmission gear pair"(Project NO.51675060).The research on the characteristics of meshing transmission,motion characteristics,dynamic characteristics,design and verification of experimental equipment of the compound transmission of the curve-face gear are carried out.This paper focuses on the following aspects:The meshing theory of the compound transmission of curve-face gear is studied.Based on the space gear meshing principle and conjugate surface theory,the basic meshing theory of the compound transmission of curve-face gear are analyzed,meshing equation are deduced.A screw theory analysis method for the compound transmission principle is established.Using meshing theory and the relevant knowledge of geometry,the tooth surface equation of the gear tooth is derived,the correct meshing conditions and the conditions for the axial reciprocating motion of the curve-face gear are determined.The transmission principle and realization conditions of the curve-face gear compound transmission are revealed.The motion of the compound transmission of the curve-face gear are studied.Based on the gear meshing theory and screw theory,a kinematic analysis model for the compound transmission of curve-face gear is established;the parameters of helical motion of curve-face gear are calculated and deduced,for instance,displacement,lead,transmission ratio and so on;the influence of the basic parameters of the curve-face gear pair on its motion characteristics are analyzed.The motion characteristics of the compound transmission of the curve-face gear are revealed.The force characteristics of the compound transmission of the curve-face gear are studied.Based on the basic theory of mechanical design,the force analysis model of gear pair is established,the effects of speed and torque on the meshing force of gear pair are obtained.The force characteristics of the compound transmission of the curve-face gear are revealed.The dynamic characteristics of the compound transmission of the curve-face gear are studied.Using the gear dynamics and the bond graph theory,the exciting source in the dynamic meshing state of curve-face gear compound transmission system is analyzed,and the bond graph model is established,the dynamic equations are deduced,the dynamic response of the system at different meshing frequencies is discussed.The dynamic characteristics of the compound transmission of the curve-face gear are revealed.The experimental and theoretical verification of the compound transmission of the curve-face gear is studied.The ADAMS simulation model of the compound transmission of the curve-face gear is established by using the modern design method.The experiment platform is designed and built in combination with the characteristics of the curve-face gear compound transmission,which is suitable for different parameters mechanism.The rotational speed,torque,axial displacement and vibration displacement with different parameters are measured and processed.The actual influence rules of the eccentricity and order on the motion and dynamic characteristics of the compound transmission of the curve-face gear are obtained.The correctness of the composite transmission characteristics and theoretical analysis method of the end face gear is verified by comparing the experimental results and the corresponding theoretical analysis.
