With the acceleration of urbanization and the increase of vehicle ownership in China,the problem of pedestrian traffic safety is becoming more and more prominent,among which the traffic safety of child pedestrian needs more attention by the whole society.Based on the design of child pedestrian traffic safety protection products,this paper analyzes the characteristics of child pedestrian traffic accidents and the demand for traffic safety.This paper put forward a design principles for child pedestrian safety protection products.Then based on the three elements of traffic accidents and the three time stages of injury,the corresponding safety protection strategies are put forward,and the specific intervention measures of child pedestrian traffic accidents are analyzed from multiple angles by using the Haddon damage control model,and the design method of traffic safety protection products for child pedestrian is proposed.Finally,based on the safety protection strategies and design methods,the corresponding design cases are proposed from the following aspects:(1)A wearable active safety protection device and a traffic facility based on the prevention and damage strategy,than verified the working logic of these design cases;(2)A wearable safety protection product design case based on the reduction of injury strategy.In this paper,the Haddon damage control model is applied to the design and research of traffic safety protection products.A new idea is put forward for the design and development of safety protection products for children's pedestrians,and a new method is provided to protect the traffic safety of children pedestrians.
