Study On The Continuation Strategy Of Guangzhou’s Urban Features

Urban features are a city’s image,personality and spiritual interpretation,it is an important carrier of urban history and culture.However,after the rapid development and construction of Chinese cities after the reform and opening up,the urban landscape faces the problem of lack of features.General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out that urban construction should establish a high degree of cultural self-confidence,properly handle the relationship between tradition and modernity,inheritance and development,and better reflect the regional characteristics,national characteristics and the times.The state successively promulgated guidance documents such as the Regulations on Famous Villages of Famous Historical and Cultural Cities,and the Opinions on Further Strengthening the Management of Urban Planning and Construction.As the first batch of national historic and cultural cities,Guangzhou’s urban features are an important vehicle for the culture of Guangzhou and even the Lingnan region and an important clue to the study of the urban development context.he“Guangzhou City’s Historical and Cultural City Protection Regulations”and“Guangzhou City Master Plan(2021 — 2035)” issued by Guangzhou Municipality have all provided relevant regulations for the protection and continuation of Guangzhou’s urban features.In the course of carrying out the research,this article uses the specific elements and characteristics of Guangzhou’s urban style as the basic material,and focuses on the phenomena of destruction and convergence of distinctive features in the process of urban construction and development in Guangzhou.Comprehensive use of multidisciplinary and comprehensive research methods such as architecture and architectural aesthetics,based on the existing research results,the paper analyzes the core elements of Guangzhou’s urban characteristics,analyzes the problems faced in the continuation of the characteristics of Guangzhou’s urban features,and explores the continuation strategies of urban features in Guangzhou.The core elements of urban characteristics in Guangzhou are studied from three aspects:the landscape pattern of the city,the spatial texture,and the architectural form.Among them,from the natural and geographical environment of the Baiyun Mountain,Pearl River and Seaside of Guangzhou,the landscape and landscape elements in the mountain,water,andcoastal areas were studied.Based on the connotation of Guangzhou’s business culture,through the combing of the process of urban evolution and development,the three elements of the spatial texture,axis,and nodes are studied.Based on the development history of Lingnan architectural culture and Guangzhou urban architectural style,the morphological characteristics of ancient architecture,modern architecture and modern and contemporary architecture in Guangzhou were studied.Based on the development history of Lingnan architectural culture and Guangzhou urban architectural strategy of continuation of urban features in Guangzhou was proposed.Among them,there is the problem of lack of completeness of landscape integrity,structural line-of-sight structure disruption,and structural eco-level destruction in the continuation of the landscape pattern.In the continuation of landscape texture,there is a problem of urban cultural memory desalination,disorder of axis space texture and disorder of street space and texture.In the continuation of architectural style,it is faced with the problems of destruction of traditional architectural forms,misuse of historical buildings,and lack of features in architectural creation.In response to this problem,the concept of landscape and landscape of the Baiyun Mountain,Pearl River and Seaside of Guangzhou was proposed to maintain the integrity of landscape features through scientific management and control,to guide the sharing of landscape through the construction of viewing corridors,and to promote the sustainable development of landscape ecology through ecological restoration.Based on the urban heritage of Guangzhou’s business culture,the author proposes that urban cultural connotation should be inherited through cultural preservation,and the spatial structure of the axis should be strengthened through the integration of elements,and spatial textures should be used to bridge the spatial texture of the streets and lanes.Based on the Lingnan architectural culture,the traditional architectural features of Guangzhou can be extended from the point of view of improving historical building protection systems and symbiosis protection of buildings and the environment.For the creation of contemporaryGuangzhou city architecture,it is proposed that under the premise of Lingnan architectural culture,Guangzhou should be put into play.The innovative spirit of the city reflects the contemporary spirit of the contemporary society in architectural works.Compared with the previous studies on the characteristics of urban features,this paper draws on the theory and methods of cultural studies in China,analyzes the characteristics of Guangzhou’s urban features from the three levels of material,institutional,and spiritual,and the cultural regional characteristics based on architectural aesthetics.Theory,from the characteristics of Guangzhou’s urban characteristics of regional features,social age,and humanities and artistic features,under the background of the three urban features of Yunshan Pearl Waterfront,Millennium Shangdu,and Lingnan Culture,proposed the Guangzhou city pattern,culture,and Lingnan.Characteristics of the three aspects of the content of the continuation strategy.
