Aluminium alloy wheels are low in density,corrosion resistance,high in strength and easy to form[1-3].In the process of making aluminum alloy wheel hub by die-casting,the forming process parameters are often obtained by many experiments and the production cycle is long.Now the die casting forming process has been applied in the numerical simulation technology.It is very important to improve the quality of the aluminum alloy wheel hub by modeling and simulating the die casting process,predicting the forming results,studying the forming law,selecting the best process parameters and shortening the process design cycle.In this paper,the forming die is designed by the structural design of the spokes aluminum alloy hub and numerical simulation of the die casting process.In the course of design,the structure of bough spokes aluminum alloy hub is designed on the basis of the requirements of vehicle lightening,high strength and beauty.The spokes of aluminum alloy wheel hub adopt bifurcation design structure,each spokes are divided into two kinds of straight fork and bent fork,which are designed as triangular holes.Based on the finite element model of die casting and forming of spokes and aluminum alloy hub,the forming process parameters of the hub were determined by using the software of Anycasting finite element simulation.At the same time,the rules of filling,residual melt,grain size,coil gas and solidification in the process of die-casting of aluminum alloy with spokes of branch wheel are analyzed.First,the bottom,top and side die of die-casting mould of spokes and aluminium alloy hub are designed,and then the assembly figure of the mould is designed based on the structure of bottom,top and side die.Based on the simulation results,the product is tested,and the organization and performance are analyzed and tested.
