The safety of railway wagon is an important prerequisite for the development of railways to high-load and high-speed targets.The falling off problem of sealing cover in 352226X2-2RZ type rolling bearing has become an important reason for the increasing problems of hot axle malfunction in railway transportation.The study on the pressing assembly performance parameters is extremely important for the pressing process between the rolling bearing and sealing cover for 352226X2-2RZ type roller bearing.The development of pressing assembly is significant,too.Using three-dimensional software CREO,finite element analysis software ANSYS and multi-body dynamics analysis software ADAMS,rigid flexible coupled models are created for 352226X2-2RZ type rolling bearings including new ones and ones with the pitting pits and scratches.Curves of displacement,velocity,acceleration,angular velocity and angular acceleration are obtained for the pressing assembly process.Meanwhile,the elastic and plastic finite element analyses are performed for the interference fits of new and repaired bearings using software ABAQUS.Their variation curves of the strain,contact stress and equivalent stress are got.Finally,the pressing assembly equipment prototype of 352226X2-2RZ-type bearing is designed and manufactured.The related experiment is implemented to validate the analysis results.Research results show that:(1)For the new and repaired bearings,the speed of sealing press-fit process is not uniform but variable.The pressing assembly process is also not the straight entry but with the slight rotation.The dynamic performance parameters such as velocity,acceleration has large fluctuation in the pressing assembly process;(2)In the press assembly process,the fluctuations of speed,angular velocity,acceleration,angular acceleration of repaired bearings are larger than those of new bearings due to scratches and pitting pits.The instability of the pressing assembly process is increased;(3)Comparing the new bearings and the repaired bearings with scratches and pitting pits,their variation principles of strain and equivalent stress are basically same.While the values of the repaired bearings are slightly larger than those of new bearings.For the repaired bearings,the values of the bearings with pitting pits are larger than those of bearings with scratches;(4)The variation principles of the contact stress for the repaired bearings are very different from those for new bearings.The fluctuation range and maximum value of the contact stress for the repaired bearings are larger than those of the new bearings.While the fluctuation range and maximum value of the contact stress for the repaired bearings with scratches are larger than those for the repaired bearings with pitting pits;(5)The prototype of pressing assembly equipment is designed and manufactured.A patent of the fixture structure has got the award of patent;(6)The design of equipment prototype is proved to be reasonable and feasible;(7)The optimized value of pressing assembly force is obtained using the equipment prototype.The appropriate hydraulic cylinder is also selected.Analysis results of this paper provide a theoretical basis for more comprehensive and thorough study on the pressing assembly process of sealing cover foe 352226X2-2RZ type rolling bearing.At the same time,some reference data are provided for the study of pressing process of other parts as well.Analysis results also offer a certain solution to solve the problem of hot axle in wagon transportation.
