The global development of the computer technologies allows people and research to use efficiently highly complex and numerical tools easily nowadays to design realistic simulations.As a consequence,the human flow in building can be analyzed efficiently without relying on real-life experiments.In this context,this thesis will focus on a station of the metro network in Harbin.The two main points in this thesis will be the study of the metro station,firstly,in case of emergency evacuation and,secondly,in the daily life.With those researches it will be possible to conclude on the way of improving the services when the population using the metro network will increase in the future and,more importantly,to react before the problems will appeared.The first researches of this thesis are focused on the study of the current status of the station with 3 main information.Firstly,the study of the architecture of the station.Secondly,the study of the different flows of people.Finally,the analyze of the different data concerning the station.After the research on the data concerning the current state of the station,the thesis is more focused on the use of the tools to explain and understand the different decisions that need to be taken in a case of emergency evacuation.On one side,the state diagrams focus more on the representation of the decisions concerning the order given to the different services in the station and,the representation of the flow of people evacuating the station.On the other side,the social force model and the agent-based model help to understand the behavior of people during an evacuation and,to set plans to evacuate people safely.After finding all the information needed to understand the way the station is working,and,the important decisions to make during an evacuation,the first model of the station using the software Anylogic has been set.After the system has been totally designed and corrected,the research of the limit of the number of people in the station could have been done.To find this limit,this thesis focus on a case of emergency evacuation,indeed the most important rule to set this limit is that the people in the station has to be evacuated in less than 5min in case of emergency.Finally,the last part of this thesis is dedicated on the research of the improvements needed for the service ability in the station when the amount of pedestrians using it is increased.The first part of this research focus on the improvement needed when only the number of people is progressively increased in the station.The second part of this research consist on increasing the number of people until it reaches the security limit found in the previous chapter.Finally,the last researches concern the influence when modifying the rate of train in the stations.
