Research On The Creation Method Of Partial Urban Design Based On Systems Thinking

Under the background of the “new normal” economy,city’s construction needs to transform from "extensive" to "intensive".Urban planning begin s to focus on connection rather than division.In this process,the traditional urban planning methods cannot meet the needs of urban construction,and the guiding role of urban design is increasingly prominent.This paper analyses the differences between comprehensive urban design and partial urban design and puts forward the importance of system integration in the partial urban design creation.It also analyses the complexity of partial urban design and proceeds to use the systems thinking to deal with partial urban design.A new design method based on “influence boundary of three level system” is discussed in this paper under the guidance of systems thinking.In systems thinking the object of partial urban design is regarded as a complete system and is studied from the structure and hierarchy in order to simplify system.At the same time,the object is studied from the external environment and internal composition according to the integrity principle of the system.According to the cognitive order of the system’s own environmental system,the area environmental system and the urban environmental system,we can realize the cognition of the urban local space from one side to the whole.Under the guidance of urban design process theory,we construct the systems thinking framework of local urban design creation.It stresses to design the microcosmic form from the macroscopic condition in the process of creation in order to achieve the purpose of differentiation.And it also advocates the diversity of thinking mode and the changefulness of thinking process in order to make the design holistic.Under the thinking frame,this paper discusses the concrete design contents and technology in the three system’s boundaries,which improves the working process of the frame.It forms a complete method system of partial urban design from epistemology to methodology and tests its feasibility in practice.This method is guided by the holistic view of the system.It repairs the spatial segmentation caused by plan thinking by the way of connection.It also makes up the deficiency of design thinking to the complexity problem,so as to enhance the integrity and livability of the city.
