Recently,with the wide spreading of green travel,recreational cycling and other physical activities have become increasingly popular.Bicycle activity has become one of the main types of fitness and entertainment activities among the urban residents.While the existing space and environment not well supported,the increasing demand of recreational cycling has created so much pressure on built environment and space for activities that the built environment can't afford it.It need us to actively concern how the built environment better supp ort recreational cycling in the planning and design of cycling.Therefore,only fully understanding the spatial behavior of recreational cycling and preference of the built environment,can we better match them and support recreational cycling.The data is recorded based on GIS,the VGI that we get from Codoon is geographic encoded,and exhibit the behavior of recreational cycling in Shenzhen city by using the spatial analysis method and statistic analysis method.Meanwhile,combining the current research,the system of the built environment factor is established.Through the establishment of regression model from individual behavior and global spatial distribution,the effect of built environment on recreational cycling is studied.The results showed that good shading of the street,well street continuity,broad street,complete facilities,gentle slope and good scenery are key factors that supporting cycling activities.The questionnaire is used to verify the results given in the research and the optimization strategies of spatial environment is proposed to encourage the recreational cycling.
