The reliability of power magnetic components is extremely important for the stability of high frequency switching converter. The magnetic loss of magnetic components directly affects the performance of high frequency switching converter. The main research content of this paper is the loss of power magnetic components of bridge topology switch converter. For magnetic components of magnetic loss,This paper introduces the components of magnetic core loss in detail, including hysteresis loss, eddy current loss and residual loss and offers the physical mechanisms of their generation.A model for the separation of sinusoidal magnetic loss is given. In high frequency switch converter, the excitation waveform on the power magnetic components, which usually includes zero voltage phase. In the conventional literature,no loss occurs on the magnetic components in the zero-voltage phase. However, this is not the fact. For the bridge topology switching converter, the magnetic loss during zero voltage phase of power magnetic components under symmetrical dead zone square wave excitation is studied. The core loss model of full bridge converter is established, the concept of relaxation effect is introduced, and the increment model of hysteresis loss is proposed. The origin and cause of additional loss of core during zero voltage phase are given. In this paper,by comparing the traditional core loss testing method, combining the existing laboratory conditions, the power analyzer measurement method with high accuracy is selected as the experimental test plan, the actual working state of the magnetic core in the switching converter is simulated by the software ArbExpress.the full bridge core loss experiment platform is built. With Ferrcube company ferrite rings TN32/19/13(3F3)and TX40/24/16(3C90)as an example, combined with the incremental model of hysteresis loss, based on the experimental data, the influencing factors of extra loss during the zero voltage phase are given, the change trend of extra magnetic flux density increment with variation of duty ratio is given, the influence of the variation of the magnetic flux density and the rate of magnetic flux density change on the relaxation effect is analyzed, the existing core loss model is expanded, which provides a new idea and reference for engineers to optimize the design of high frequency switching converter.
