Submersible motor is the heart of submersible pump.Asynchronous motor has the advantages of simple structure,convenient manufacture,low cost,good speed performance and is widely used in submersible motor.However,the asynchronous motor also has disadvantages of large losses and low power factor.Domestic and foreign experts have begin to seek high efficiency submersible motor program.The synchronous reluctance motor has become a hotspot in domestic and foreign scholars in recent years because of its simple structure,rotorless winding,no permanent magnet,low cost and high efficiency.In this paper,the synchronous reluctance motor is used in submersible motor to design a high efficiency submersible synchronous reluctance motor,replacing the existing asynchronous motor program to achieve the purpose of energy saving.Firstly,this paper investigates the research status of the submersible motor and the synchronous reluctance motor.Secondly,on the basis of the basic principle and mathematical model of synchronous reluctance motor,the possibility of replacing the reluctance motor with asynchronous motor is analyzed theoretically.The same current size of the torque ratio and copper consumption ratio,the torque ratio under the same stator copper consumption,the stator copper consumption ratio under the equivalent torque,and the submersible motor mechanical loss in different rotor diameter is calculated.Then,the difference between the submersible synchronous reluctance motor and the general motor design is analyzed.The design flow of the motor is worked out,and the preliminary scheme is designed.The influence of rotor size,air gap width and current angle on the d-axis and q-axis inductance is discussed.The effects of different rotor diameters and different segments of the motor on efficiency and other performance are compared,and the preliminary electromagnetic scheme of the motor design is obtained.Then,the finite element analysis of the electromagnetic,thermal analysis,rotor mechanical strength check of the preliminary scheme is carried out.The torque performance of three kinds of topology structure of the rotor was compared.Aiming at the problem of the rotor ripple,step skewing is used to suppress the torque ripple.The size of torque ripple is calculated on different rotor structures and different skewing angle.Finally,a small synchronous reluctance motor prototype is developed for the preliminary design scheme.The value of d-axis and q-axis unsaturated inductance of the motor is measured by the low slip method.The static and dynamic torque experiments of the motor and the temperature rise test is carried out.The accuracy of the electromagnetic design scheme is verified by comparing the experimental results with the simulation results.
