The accelerating development of urbanization has promoted the continuous increase in the amount of residential construction in China.At the same time,environmental and energy issues have also become increasingly prominent.As a result,in addition to meeting basic functional,safety,economic and aesthetic requirements,the residential areas has increased some other performance requirements based on the environmental considerations,such as the physical environment quality,Open space,and energy-saving,etc.In the face of the multiple performance objects requirements for residential areas,the issues in traditional design methods have become increasingly prominent.In recent years,with the development of interdisciplinary fields,digital technology and artificial intelligence have gradually entered the field of architectural to help solve the multiple performance objects-driven architectural design and optimization problems,but researches in this area focuses on building monomers and detailed structures etc.At the level of group planning scale,the study is still in its infancy.Based on this,this study selected residential layout planning as the research object,and comprehensively used the theory of multi-objective intelligent optimization algorithm,integrated optimization design and associated design.Improving the multiple performance quality of the residential area is the point to entry.The final realization of the intelligence optimization of the residential layout is the goal.Explored the application of multi-objective integration optimization technology at the group layout level.First of all,the study begins with the supply and demand relationship between the multiple performance objects requirements and the morphological elements of the residential layout,and proposes that the essence of residential planning layout is a multi-objective optimization problems.To solve this problem,the basic theoretical method,the optimization platform,and the method for generating the residential layout information model are studied.Based on this,a complete set of automatic residential layout optimization design method is proposed.This method to solve the residential layout design problem that driven bycomplex multiple performance objects.Secondly,based on the parametric platform of Rhinoceros & Grasshopper,by integrating the residential layout information model,performance simulation technology,and intelligent algorithm technology,the author invented a set of residential layout intelligent optimization system(RLIOS).RLIOS used the morphological elements of the residential layout as design variables,and used the sunshine spacing,fire prevention space,and building setback restriction,etc as the constraints,and selected the floor area ratio,open space,sunshine quality,and thermal radiation,etc as the optimal objects.In addition,by designing a series of comparative experiments which with different RLIOS parameter setting,the performance characteristics of the system are studied.The results show that: :RLIOS has significant effects in promoting quality of multiple performance objects for residential,and the algorithm combinations,population sizes,and the choice of objects and variables are all the influencing factors of RLIOS generation results.The results can also provide guidance for the application of RLIOS.Finally,taking Shenzhen Longxi Garden Project and Wuxi Xinzhou Homeland Project as examples,discussed the use of RLIOS in actual projects.The results show that RLIOS can solve practical project problems and provide diversified and different performance-focused residential layout solutions.In short,focusing on the insufficiency of traditional architectural design methods,this study introduced the technology of performance simulation and multi-objective intelligent algorithm in the residential planning scheme phase,and used the method of artificial intelligence to solve the residential layout design problem.which is an effective mean of improving the performance in residential layout stage.
