Research On The Design Strategies Of Community Centers Under The Background Of Urban Modernization

Since the reform and opening up,high-speed urbanization has brought China’s urbanization rate to near 60%,and Shenzhen,which at the forefront of development,is a representative of it.The city has entered the stage of modernization from incremental to qualitative changes.The city’s service functions and the creation of living space will give priority to satisfying people’s consumer demand and high-level spiritual and cultural needs.The community which as the basic unit of social administration and the basic space of the residents’ lives has played a vital role in the daily life.As the community center has been the hub among the city,society,and residents.It is a space for providing residents with community services and public activities.Therefor it’s a great significance to today’s city life.This article starts a study on the city’s community center.Firstly,we reviewed the evolution of China’s community administration system and the main course of supporting construction of community public facilities.Then I introduced the transformation of the community administration system,service system,and the residents’ public life to the changes of the spatial require to the public facilities.And recovered the supporting construction model is a simple and rapid construction methods adopted in a specific historical context and have been unable to meet the needs of the city’s future development.On this basis,the institution of the community(Party Group)service center established in recent years in Shenzhen was selected as the objects,and focus on its space and community environment,then it compared and analyzed the community center of the United States,Japan,Singapore and other developed countries’.Therefor it proposed that the facilities of community public services should be released from the supporting construction system and should be constructed as an organic part of urban public spaces.At the same time,the community service,culture and sports,and administrative management in the supporting facilities should be merged into the community center and will carry out the integration construction.Finally discussed the planning and architecture design principles of continuity which are openness,interaction,accessibility,landmark,compoundness and versatility for the construction model,further more elaborated the architectural modeling and functional space design of the community center.
