| Because of its strong adaptability,safety and economy,Concrete Face Rockfill Dam(CFRD)has grown into a competitive dam in China’s dam construction.As a kind of local material dam,the CFRD is more advantage due to the use of local materials.In the past,in order to reduce the deformation of filling material of CFRD,the engineers usually choose relatively hard rock.Some material fields are near to the dam site and the excavating material of the dam foundation can not be used because of their softer lithology or higher weathering degree.The excavating material need to be transported to the designated position to abandon.These two items are bound to cause a waste of resources and the destruction of ecological environment.It can’t be well reflected that the "locally-produced raw materials" on CFRD.An important feature of modern CFRD is the construction technology of layered rolling,in recent years with the rich experience of engineering design and construction technology to improve,which broaden the scope of embankment material selection,some relatively weak rock can be used as construction material.However,because of the particularity of the soft-rock material,it is not blindly used as the dam filling material,which needs to do some special research.This paper is mainly focused on the above mentioned problems,and the full text is divided into three parts:The first part,the development history of CFRD is mainly summarized,and the engineering example of building CFRD with soft rock at home and abroad is also collected.Based on the established examples and corresponding design code,the available soft rock rang in CFRD are analyzed.The second part,the paper selects the Duncan-Chang E-B model to calculate thestress and deformation of rockfill,to summarize and analyzes of the three-dimensional finite element calculation constitutive model of CFRD.At the same time,based on the further development platform of ABAQUS software,the paper develops the Duncan-Chang E-B model program used in calculation.The third part,through the three-dimensional simulation of the actual project-a CFRD filled with soft rock in Guizhou province,the paper analyses and summarize the soft rock application range which influences the stress and deformation of the CFRD.According to 3 kinds of soft-rock distribution,the paper calculates the stress and deformation in CFRD and compares them with normal CFRD,the conclusions is that the soft-rock material should not be limited to the downstream rockfill zone(3C zone).In fact,under the conditions that ensure the stability of dam and uniform stress of panel,it is feasible to adjusting the soft rock material partition range reasonably and to increase range of soft rock,so that the engineering design has been further optimized to reduce the project investment,to protect the ecological environment and to improve resource utilization rate and so on. |
