The communication between China and Korea has formed a long history since ancient times, and the communication which went through Ming and Qing dynasty was based on cultural identity. Finally,a Communication route with stable cultural base was built up gradually. This route changed several times since A.D.1369 Ming dynasty when system of Canonization started, and after the alternation of dynasties between Ming and Qing,Korea was forced to pay tribute to the Qing emperor.Shengjing is the vice capital of Qing empire, and Rehe is an important Summer Palace.Tribute sites of korea envoys were different because the prevent sunstroke activities of royal family were always changed between different places. After investigation along the Liaodong route,We find that a lot of architectural heritage were disappearing because of overexploitation on the historical villages. The culture value of this route has aroused attention of scholars in Korea, but the study on this route just start in China. This culture heritage needs to be rescued at once in consideration of the vanishing relics.Based on the condition above,we conduct this study from the aspects of tribute route, urban spatial structure, constitution of buffer area and features of conservation building In this paper.First, analysis on tribute route. The envoy route of Ming and Qing dynasty is studied in the way of data analysis and field research. The route is positioned and researched from different characteristics on period or geographical, and some historical events are also considered. The original path is changed or covered,so we adopt GIS software to study this route based on the unique land form of Liaodong area. Finally,we try to illustrate the reason of difference between computation result and historical sites, and try to res tore the route at the same time.Second, research on the cities visited by the envoys.According to historical data such as the records written by the Korean envoys and local chronicles, this paper summarizes the construction characteristics, operational functions of and the envoys' activities in the cities in the eastern and southern parts of Liaoning province in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.Besides, this paper, using the "surface analysis" in GIS,not only systematically and scientifically analyzes the characteristics of urban distribution and spatial composition but also summarizes the distribution patterns of the settlements in this area and the relationship between the area and the materials used, which contributes to a deeper understanding of the composition features of the cities and settlements along the route.Third, analysis of the composition of protected buffers and the features of architecture.According to the records by the Korean envoys on the topological relationship between the buildings and the cities, together with the distribution features of the buildings,GIS is used to designate heritage protection buffers. At the same time, according to the different characteristics of the regional distribution, the paper mainly analyzes the architectural forms in the various protected buffer areas.Combined with the different perspectives of the Korean envoys, the paper reflects the social development, religious beliefs and traffic conditions in the eastern and southern parts of Liaoning province. This gives us more details and information about the historic buildings in that area during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and fills the historical gaps in terms of part of Northeastern architecture.
