A Study On The Design Of Chinese Modern Pavilions(1950s—1990s)

Under the globalization background,how to inherit and carry forward the characteristics of China’s local landscape architecture has been an important issue in the industry,expand and deepen the landscape building design techniques is also a matter of urgency.The development background of modern landscape building is similar to the current design background,and it is close to the contemporary time,Their design artisans can provide the direction and reference for the future design of landscape building,which is worthy of our deep interpretation and research.“Pavilion” is the most common style in landscape building construction,modeling almost covers all the traditional Chinese architectural shape of the single form,and even has special forms which other buildings do not have.Hope from point to surface,to deepen the understanding of pavilion and landscape building,including create features,cultural connotation and other aspects.Based on the study of more than 100 representative pavilions and related contents collected from the literature and field investigation,this thesis used case studies,comparative studies and the study of doping and induction,to analyse the Building construction,environment construction,cultural implication of the pavilion from the 1950 s to the 1990 s.Draw the following results: 1)Classified the style of pavilion into four categories,they are respectively the tradiontal style of innovation,regional style,ethnic style and plural style.2)Explored the changes and analysis of the main building materials and decorative materials.3)Demonstrated the pavilion how to inherit tradition and add new features.4)Analysed the environment of the pavilion in the mountains,water,and the general park,summed up their own characteristics.5)The cultural connotation of modern pavilion is summarized and displayed,and the different forms of pavilion based on cultural connotation are analyzed.This thesis explored the development history and style of modern Chinese landscape building--pavilion,explored the architectural design techniques and characteristics of pavilions,explored its foothold in "traditional" and "modern" The research has has some reference significance in the development of landscape building.
