In recent years,automatic control and image processing have been widely used,and the operation and maintenance of substation equipment has gradually developed toward the direction of rapid and automatic diagnosis.Substation equipment intelligent identification classification and diagnosis system can confirm whether the transformation equipment is faulty and can evaluate the thermal fault of the equipment.It can reduce the economic losses caused by thermal failure of the substation equipment and provide convenience for the maintenance work of the staff.Infrared thermal imager not only can capture the infrared image of substation equipment,but also can measure the temperature value of a certain point.In order to ensure the safety and reliability of substation operation,this paper studies and designs a substation equipment fault diagnosis system based on infrared thermal imaging technology.This article reviews the composition,temperature measurement characteristics and basic principle of infrared thermal imaging temperature measurement of infrared thermal imager,and analyzes the source and characteristics of infrared thermal image in substation equipment.Through the research of substation equipment infrared image processing algorithm,contrasting simulation experiments have obtained better infrared image processing methods.The Matlab platform verifies that the infrared image processing method used in this paper works well and is beneficial to the subsequent use of thermal fault diagnosis in substations.The basic principle of the HOG-SVM classification method is briefly introduced.An infrared image classifier based on the HOG-SVM substation equipment is designed.The integrated classification accuracy of high-voltage bushings,isolating switches and clamps reaches 95.3%.The experimental results show that the method designed in this paper has good classification effect and can realize the classification and recognition of infrared images of substation equipment.Based on the above research results,the substation equipment fault diagnosis method was designed to perform diagnostic tests on the common high-voltage bushings,disconnectors,and thermal fault cases of the clamp equipment in the substation equipment.The experimental results show that the thermal fault diagnosis system can accurately determine the thermal fault defect class of the substation equipment and proposecorresponding thermal faults.Through diagnostic experiments and analysis of the results,it is verified that the thermal fault diagnosis method of substation equipment designed in this paper is effective and feasible.
