Measuring temperature by using thermal technique is a new method of temperature measurement. By this technique, temperature can be measured quickly, precisely and conveniently. So it is used in more and more regions. Recently, it develops to the direction of smaller, more intelligent and with more functions.In this paper, based on the characters of infrared (IR) images and requirements of application, deep research on IR image processing technology is done. In the technique of image enhancement, methods such as point-operation, remove confusion and nonuniformity correction is mainly studied to improve quality of image and realized by software. Based on a lot of experiments on false color transformation, an algorithm that is suitable for observing high-temperature objects is presented. The mathematical model of relationship between the temperature of object and gray grade of image is set up.On base of all these researches, a Infrared-temperature-measuring system is set up. This system can inspect and record the object scene, enhance and analyze image and measure temperature quickly and accurately.
