Earthquake is a very serious natural disaster,the most serious is casualties caused by the collapse of the building damage,so how to improve the seismic capacity of buildings has been the focus of world scholars.There are many methods of shock absorption and shock partition.Among them,the supporting buckling restrained energy-dissipation braces is a kind of good cushioning method and the supporting isolation bearing is a good method of isolation.In this paper,using CSI ETABS 2013 Nonlinear C(Chinese version 13.1.4)for the calculation software,t the main research work is as follows:Firstly,introduce the development status of buckling-restrained brace and base isolation,especially the design method of buckling-restrained brace.At the same time,arrange buckling-restrained brace in an actual engineering model.Secondly,by using pushover analysis? seismic response spectrum and time history analysis method,compare the seismic response of Buckling-restrained braced frame and the original frame.By comparison we can see that buckling-restrained brace has a good good shock absorption effect.Through the development of plastic hinge,under the action of rare earthquakes,at first buckling-restrained brace arrive into the plastic point and dissipate the earthquake input energy to insure the security of the main structure.Then,design base isolation for the selected engineering structure.By using seismic response spectrum and time history analysis method,verify that the isolated structure meets the isolation requirements.By comparing the self-vibration period ?the self-vibration period? the interlayer shear force and the interlayer displacement angle of the original structure,it is found that the base isolation has a good isolation effect.Finally,due to the unfavorable influence of near-fault pulse-type ground motions on the base-isolated structure,arrange buckling-restrained brace in the isolated structure to enhance the seismic capacity of the structure.By using seismic response spectrum and time history analysis method,it can be seen that buckling-restrained brace has a good anti-seismic effect on the superstructure of the isolated structure.
