Research On Road Landscape Design Of Spongy City In Xixian New District

Rain problem has been increasingly serious in recent years and the city flood disasters occurred frequently.City roads as a part of the urban land,due to its particularity,a large part of rainwater runoff and rainwater pollution is generated,accumulated,and discharged in roads.Urban roads have enormous potential of rainwater management.To a certain extent,the urban road landscape represents the style of the entire city and a rich plant landscape community arecreated by the road green space landscape.Therefore,exploring the urban road landscape design under the goal of the sponge city has important significance of implementing the construction of a sponge city and creating a good road landscape.This article takes the construction of sponge city in Xixian New District as the background,starting from the low-impact development strategy and landscape design,analyzed the outstanding cases of road landscape based on the concept of low-impact development at home and abroad;a practical survey of the road landscape project during the construction of the sponge city in Xixian New District was carried out during the winter,spring and rain to analyze and summarize the rainwater management process and road landscape design methods in road landscapes,and evaluate the winter and spring landscapes of road greenbelts;the design strategy of road landscape under urban concept and the application methods and plant selection of LID facilities in road landscape design were explored.The study summarized the following points:Firstly,sponge city rainwater management measures can be applied to the street reconstruction in the bustling area.The treatment of curbstones in the road,the layout of the ecological tree pool,and the combination of the grass-growing ditch and the rainwater garden all play an important role in rainwater purification and total runoff control.Secondly,the research summarized that the LID measures applicable to the roads in Xixian New Area were respectively grass-planting ditch,ecological detention facility,vegetation buffer zone,rainwater storage ponds,sunken green land,and permeable paving,and explained their application methods and suitable layout areas in the roads of Xixian New Area and presented landscape maintenance considerations.Thirdly,it suggested that the selection of green road plants in sponge city roads should be considered from three aspects: the urban natural environment,different road functions,and different LID facilities in the road green space.Based on the plant’s adaptability to light and water and other adaptations such as saline-alkali resistance and lodging resistance,the research listed the plant varieties suitable for road landscape in Xixian New Area and their applicable areas.The research summarized the main points of the maintenance and management of sponge city roads.
