The modern weaponry is all combined with the information technology,losing the initiative of information means losing the control of the weaponry.In modern urban warfare,small low-altitude aircrafts become the new killer in the battlefield,they always take action together or fly in formation easily between buildings.Not only can they obtain the dynamic battlefield information,but also they have some lethality.Due to its low-altitude,small volume and strong concealment,they can occupy the battlefield and dominate the war unawares when the weapons with mass lethality cannot reach or use.Now the researches about these low-altitude and slow-speed targets are still rare.This paper puts forward the suitable detection and tracking methods for this kind of targets based on theirs characteristics.Firstly,the difficulties in detecting and tracking law-altitude and slow-speed targets are analyzed.Aiming at the issue of target detection in strong clutter background,three conventional methods are introduced: adaptive moving target indication technology for the purpose of clutter suppression,constant false alarm rate detection to avoid computer overload in strong clutter background and track before detection technology to improve detection performance in the case of low signal clutter ratio through changing the traditional process.And then three typical filtering methods for tracking are briefly introduced.Then detailed analyses and researches of multi-target tracking are made aiming at two key points track initial and data association.This paper analyzes the existing problems of traditional methods of track initial and data association,and proposes the joint logical quick track initial method based on Doppler velocity and quick probabilistic data association method based on Doppler velocity.The feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed methods are verified by comparison experiments.Finally,this paper deals with the measured echo data of law-altitude and slow-speed unmanned aerial vehicle.The process of traditional radar signal processing and data processing are introduced,and improved process are proposed according to radar system parameters and engineering environment.The paper also analyses and explains the abnormal phenomena in the process and puts forward the corresponding resolution plan.By comparing the detection and tracking results,using the algorithms and improved process proposed in this paper can get better performance than the data provider gives.
