With the development of theoretical supposition of Global Energy Interconnection,It is so important that the unattended real-time remote monitoring,the fault diagnosis and early warning of transmission lines and substations.However,due to the complex operating environment of transmission lines,the security and stability of power system are easily threatened by icing,wildfire,conductor galloping,mechanical construction and foreign invasion.Then,how to realize the on-line monitoring and intelligent early warning of transmission line,reducing the frequent occurrence of electric accidents,has become the top priority for building a strong and smart grid.Therefore,an intelligent monitoring platform with intelligent detection algorithm embedded in for transmission lines was set up in this paper,which can realize on-line condition monitoring and early warning of the transmission line.This paper mainly studied the intelligent detection algorithms,including the detection of preventing foreign invasion based on a mean that Gaussian Mixture and background subtraction,the detection of conductor galloping based on image matching,the detection of insulator icing based on gray-value template matching,and the detection of wildfire hazard based on multi-feature fusion,and designation of intelligent monitoring platform.For the detection of foreign invasion,the Gaussian Mixture-based background modeling algorithm is used to overcome the deficiency of the single background subtraction to realize the real-time updating of the background,then the moving target is segmented and extracted through threshold segmentation,which can identify and locate the invading foreign objects finally.For the monitoring of conductor galloping,a spacer is used as a matching template to detect and calculate the offset of galloping.For the detection of insulator icing,the template matching based on gray value is adopted to locate the insulator,then the variation of pixels and boundary distance before and after icing is analyzed to calculate the thickness of icing by calibrating the camera,thus the automatic identification of the insulator icing is realized.For the detection of wildfire,this paper adopts the FCM(fuzzy C-clustering method)to fuse the color,texture and area feature extracted from the image to monitor the wildfire based on the fusion characteristics,and calculate the burning area,which can obtain the grade of fire hazard.Combined with intelligent identification algorithms referred above,and SQL Server database access,multithreading,network communication,video transmission protocol,video coding technology,the state grid interface B protocol and XML analysis technology of decoding,the expert software embedded in the intelligent monitoring and diagnosis platform of transmission line and a video remote access technology solution was designed based on the development of MFC application framework.Finally,the platform in this paper has been applied to the Xinjiang electric power company and Xi'an Jin Power Electric Company.The test results show that the platform designed in this paper has the advantages of high efficiency,good portability,strong stability and rapidity of algorithm,which can be used well for the real-time monitoring,and escort the safe operation of transmission lines.
