Nowadays,with the increasing popularity of cars,more and more demands for comfort and safety of cars are put forward.Brake parts as an important part of the car,the traditional strength,stress test and so on are obviously not enough to meet the requirements,dynamic performance testing is also an indispensable part.When braking,vibration and noise will occur.This kind of noise not only affects the comfort of vehicle,but also has bad effcet on the brake system components of automobiles.So,it is important to test the dynamic performance of the brake parts.A set of modal testing system for automobile brake parts is developed in this paper.The system adopts the impact test to carry out the modal test.The data is collected by the acquisition card.The natural frequency and damping ratio of the workpiece are calculated by the system,and the qualification judgment of the workpiece is given.According to the requirement of the modal test system and the principle of modal analysis,the natural frequency parameters are searched by the peak pick-up method and phase conversion method.At the same time,in the testing process a separate pickup method is applied to ensure the accuracy of the multiple mode.Through the test,the method can guarantee the accuracy of the test,and also has a high efficiency.The system is programmed based on LabVIEW.The system hardware include NI acquisition device,impact hammers and acoustic condenser microphones.This systerm including workpiece parameters module,data storage module,work report export module,data query and other modules.During the testing process,the signals are transmitted to the test system by the acquisition device,and modal test is carried out by the system.After comparing the modal parameters with the standard values,we get the qualification of the workpiece.The data of the workpiece is classified and saved by database and TDMS file,and Excel tables are generated after the test is finished.After debugging,each function of the system interface can run normally.It can accurately identify the natural frequency of the workpiece,damping ratio and give qualification judgment.The functions of vehicle brake parts dynamic test are realized.
