As an alternative fuel for engines,ethanol has many advantages over gasoline,including a wider range of sources,lower pollutant emissions,higher octane number,higher detonation resistance,higher latent heat of vaporization,higher compression ratios and lower carbon emissions.However,anhydrous ethanol consumes a lot of energy in the dehydration process.Hydrous ethanol has the advantages of anhydrous ethanol and saves a lot of energy in the dehydration process,so it has wide application prospect and high research value.Laminar burning velocity is an important parameter of fuel,which reflects the physical and chemical properties of combustible mixture,including heat release,diffusion and reaction characteristics,which affects or even determines the combustion rate of fuel/air mixture in actual combustion system.It is of great significance in basic research and engineering research.In this paper,laminar flow combustion experiments of anhydrous ethanol,hydrous ethanol consisted of 5% water and 95% ethanol,hydrous ethanol consisted of 10%water and 90% ethanol and hydrous ethanol consisted of 20% water and 80% ethanol were carried out at the initial temperature of 388 K and the initial pressure of 1atm.This paper introduces two methods of measuring laminar burning velocity by constant pressure method(CPM)and constant volume method(CVM),and compiles the corresponding Matlab calculation program.Calculate the parameters such as the non-tensile flame velocity,laminar burning velocity and Markstein length of ethanol using the constant pressure method(CPM)and analyzed the laminar burning velocity and flame stability of the ethanol.The variation law of pressure curve of ethanol was introduced.The laminar burning velocity of ethanol was calculated by constant volume method(CVM),and the calculated results were compared with those of constant pressure method(CPM).The Marinov model and Olm model of ethanol were used to simulate the laminar burning velocity of ethanol.The simulation results of initial pressure and high pressure are compared with the calculated results and deduced results of constant volume method(CVM).The sensitivity analysis and flame structure analysis of ethanol were carried out,and the variation of laminar burning velocity was explained from the perspective of mechanism.
